A Decade of Running a Lash Salon with Mo Hamil
In this episode, AnneMarie welcomes Monique “Mo” Hamil, owner and lash artist at Lash Out near Houston, Texas. Mo has a Bachelors degree in Business and has been in the beauty industry for over 20 years. It was only after managing a hair salon for many years that Mo took a lashing course and found her life’s passion. She has now been a lash artist and salon owner for over 10 years. Mo is focused on building the “community vs. competition” between lash artists across the U.S.,and AnneMarie and Mo speak candidly about the pros and cons of working in someone else’s lash salon vs. owning your own/working on your own.
In the last segment, Mo shares her dreams and goals for “Lash Bash”- a community event that invites lash artists of every skill level to come and meet each other, find new friends, talk about business opportunities, and more. For the 2023 Lash Bash, Mo plans a multi-city tour so watch for this event happening near you!
